JULY 26
10,000 Reasons
Chorus
Bless the Lord O my soul
O my soul
Worship His holy name
Sing like never before
O my soul
I’ll worship Your holy name
Verse 1
The sun comes up it’s a new day dawning
It’s time to sing Your song again
Whatever may pass and whatever lies before me
Let me be singing when the evening comes
Verse 2
You’re rich in love and You’re slow to anger
Your name is great and Your heart is kind
For all Your goodness I will keep on singing
Ten thousand reasons for my heart to find
Verse 3
And on that day when my strength is failing
The end draws near and my time has come
Still my soul will sing Your praise unending
Ten thousand years and then forevermore
Mercy
Verse 1
My past embraced
My sin forgiven
I’m blameless in Your sight
My history rewritten
Chorus
‘Cause You delight in showing mercy
And mercy triumphs over judgment
You delight in showing mercy
And mercy triumphs over judgment
Verse 2
Oh love great love fear cannot be found in You
And there will never be a day
You’re uncertain of the ones You choose
Bridge
So I’ll awake and spend my days
Loving the one who has raised me up
From death to life from wrong to right
You’re making all things beautiful (new)
SCRIPTURE | 1 Thessalonians 2:4-12
4 On the contrary, we speak as those approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel. We are not trying to please people but God, who tests our hearts. 5 You know we never used flattery, nor did we put on a mask to cover up greed—God is our witness. 6 We were not looking for praise from people, not from you or anyone else, even though as apostles of Christ we could have asserted our authority. 7 Instead, we were like young childrena]”>[a] among you.
Just as a nursing mother cares for her children, 8 so we cared for you. Because we loved you so much, we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well. 9 Surely you remember, brothers and sisters, our toil and hardship; we worked night and day in order not to be a burden to anyone while we preached the gospel of God to you. 10 You are witnesses, and so is God, of how holy, righteous and blameless we were among you who believed. 11 For you know that we dealt with each of you as a father deals with his own children, 12 encouraging, comforting and urging you to live lives worthy of God, who calls you into his kingdom and glory.
Softly And Tenderly Jesus Is Calling
Verse 1
Softly and tenderly Jesus is calling
Calling for you and for me
See, on the portals He’s waiting and watching
Watching for you and for me
Refrain
Come home, come home
Ye who are weary, come home
Earnestly, tenderly, Jesus is calling
Calling, O sinner, come home!
