• 6K (3.73 miles) is the average distance people in the majority world have to walk for water. Surface water is dirty and makes families sick.
• Clean water is rare in Gemena, the remote city in DR Congo where Covenant Kid Congo operates. Right now, the vast majority of the population of Gemena does not have access to clean water.
• Covenant Kids Congo powered by World Vision is partnering with the Covenant Church of Congo (CEUM) and local leaders to expand clean water access in Gemena. The long-term goal is universal water, sanitation, and hygiene coverage for this city of about 350,000.
